Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Geppetto (“Geppetto”, “we”, “us”), a platform for building, deploying, and hosting websites.

By using Geppetto, you agree to these Terms.

Geppetto provides tools that allow users to:

• Generate websites using AI
• Deploy and host static websites
• Store website project files and configuration
• Build websites that may collect data from end users
• Manage and export form submissions (Team plans)

Geppetto is an infrastructure platform. You are responsible for the websites you create using it.

You must create an account to use Geppetto.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account
• All activity under your account
• Providing accurate information

We use third-party authentication services (Clerk) to manage accounts.

You retain ownership of:

• Prompts
• Website project data
• Generated code
• Uploaded files
• Deployed websites and their content

By using Geppetto, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit this content solely to operate the service.

We do not use your content to train AI models.

You may use Geppetto to build and deploy websites, including websites that collect data from third parties.

You are solely responsible for:

• The functionality and behavior of your websites
• Any data collected through your websites
• Ensuring your websites comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Providing appropriate privacy disclosures to your end users

Geppetto does not control or monitor the data collected by websites you build.

Websites built with Geppetto may collect form submissions and other user-provided data.

On Team plans:

• Form submissions are stored by Geppetto on your behalf
• You may access, export, and delete submissions
• Submissions are deleted when a site is deleted after a 30-day soft delete period

On Solo plans:

• Form submissions are delivered via email only
• No persistent storage is maintained

You are responsible for lawful collection and handling of all data collected through your websites.

You agree not to use Geppetto to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Build or distribute malicious software
• Create, host, or distribute pornographic or sexually explicit content
• Collect data unlawfully or without proper disclosure
• Infringe intellectual property rights
• Attempt to disrupt or abuse the platform
• Misrepresent your identity or the origin of content

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

Geppetto uses third-party AI services (Anthropic) to generate code and websites.

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete.

You are responsible for reviewing and validating any generated content before use or deployment.

Geppetto relies on third-party providers including:

• Clerk (authentication)
• Cloudflare (hosting, storage, security)
• Anthropic (AI generation)
• Stripe (payments)
• Resend (email delivery)
• Umami Cloud (analytics)
• Sentry (error monitoring)

Your use of Geppetto may also be subject to those providers’ terms.

Paid subscriptions are processed via Stripe.

Subscriptions may include recurring billing.

Fees are non-refundable unless required by law or explicitly stated otherwise.

We aim to keep Geppetto available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

We may update, modify, or improve the service from time to time, and in some cases may need to discontinue features or the service entirely. If this happens, we will provide reasonable notice where possible.

When an account or site is deleted:

• It enters a 30-day soft delete period
• During this time, it is not actively accessible but may be restored by contacting support
• After 30 days, it is permanently deleted from active systems

Some data may remain in encrypted backups for disaster recovery purposes for a limited period.

Geppetto retains all rights to the platform, including:

• Infrastructure
• Editor
• Deployment system
• Templates and tooling

This does not include your content or websites.

Geppetto is provided “as is” and “as available.”

While we aim to provide a reliable service, we do not make guarantees that:

• the service will be error-free or uninterrupted
• AI-generated content will always be accurate or complete
• websites created or deployed through Geppetto will be secure or continuously available

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Geppetto is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
• You are responsible for how you use the platform and what you deploy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms
• Required by law
• Necessary to protect the service or other users

You may stop using Geppetto at any time.

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Geppetto operates.
